Pediatric Speech Services

Our speech-language pathologists have been helping children and families for over 30 years. We work closely with parents and caregivers in order to provide the individualized support and approach that will help each child reach their highest potential. We tailor our play-based sessions to each child’s interests and strengths, because fun is where the magic happens! On-going progress feedback and home programs are provided to parents and caregivers, because we know that the greatest gains are made at home in a child's everyday interactions. Services are provided in-home or at our therapy center in Glendale.

Riner-Constantino & Associate provides pragmatic (social) skills groups for children to develop and improve skills that help them to build lasting relationships and hold meaningful and effective communicative interactions with peers.

Early Intervention

Early intervention is designed for families of children birth-3.  Early Intervention therapy utilizes a family approach to teach caregivers how to best support their child's communication and physical needs

School-Aged Children

Often times, children do not qualify for the amount of services that they need through their school due to district regulations.  We serve all children with communication difficulties, including processing, articulating, formulating sentences and social communication.

Screenings

Screenings are quick and simple!  A screening takes about 10 minutes as our therapist looks at general skills to determine if anything needs to be investigated with more detail.  Your child may pass the screening, not needing therapy, or they mail fail it, which tells us to get an assessment to confirm or rule out a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan if necessary.

Assessments

Assessments are conducted utilizing clinical observation of play and communication skills, standardized and non-standardized testing instruments, and parent interview as appropriate. Following this assessment, you will be provided with a diagnosis, if appropriate, and with a formal written report, which includes a proposed treatment plan.  Every child is unique and therefore treatment plans are designed in collaboration with the patient/ caregiver to fulfill each child's individual needs.
